How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the good news! - Romans 10:15

As our missions team is preparing to set the budget for LifePoint Missions in 2025, I’m very happy to let you know where we stand as of this writing. Before I do that, it might be good to know that as of this time last October 2023, we had set new records in our missions giving with 335 faith promises totaling $594,610. It was, and remains, an amazing and generous promise. It was also a promise that was fulfilled. Every dollar pledged has come in regularly in 2024, including “extra.” God’s promises are true, and at times he simply blesses above and beyond: “Give, and it will be given to you. Good measure, pressed down, shaken together, running over, will be put into your lap. For with the measure you use it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38-39).

And now the numbers as they stand on this day: $642,971 promised with 344 promises made. This is, obviously, incredible. We anticipate additional promises being submitted, but we are overjoyed with the generosity of this local body of Christ! In early November the Missions Team will set and submit the missions’ budget to the elders. At that time, we will announce the total for 2025. God is good!

While I have you, I want to share with you a few takeaways that Dawn and Greg Meadows shared with us concerning their recent two-week trip to El Salvador, where they worked with orphans and Greg did some construction work. Dawn and Greg are members of our Missions Team, and they both have big hearts for missions. Here’s some of their story:

"The first part of September Greg and I were honored to go to El Salvador and serve the Lord alongside Hungry Church. It was great to fellowship with the believers, share the Word and serve with them.

We had the opportunity to work three days at an orphanage and to worship with them on Sunday. While worshipping with them, I couldn't help but think how heaven will sound one day when we worship our Savior together.

With donations contributed for the orphanage we were able to buy a freezer chest, fill it with meat, and buy essentials for the children. The men also built a storage room for them. Pictured are the children living in the orphanage.

We also went to a small rural area and built a home for a single mother and her two children. Pictured is the "home" they lived in before and the home built after. It was extremely hot and a lot of work (more for Greg than me), but the smiles on their faces were worth it all. To be able to explain that God loves them and share the gospel with them was even more rewarding. The Lord also gave us the opportunity to spend a day with a Christian couple that was struggling in their marriage, encouraging them in the Lord, and I had the privilege to spend a day with a family grieving the death of a loved one and helping them translate documents they didn't understand.

We didn't know what God had in store for us when we went, but I love the fact that He uses us, in spite of our weaknesses, to accomplish His purposes. All we have to do is be willing."

Thank you, LifePoint family, for your generosity and your collective heart for missions!

Grace and peace,

Pastor Jym
