Jym has been serving as the Lead Pastor at LifePoint since 2009. His primary responsibilities at LifePoint include shepherding, preaching and leadership.

Prior to his time here, he served in pastoral ministry in Illinois, on the mission field in Costa Rica and Spain, in higher education in Illinois and Florida, and in law enforcement in Texas. He received Bachelor and Master degrees in Psychology from Eastern Illinois University and the Master of Divinity degree at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. Jym comes from an eclectic background, having been raised the youngest child in a family of fourteen children to Roman Catholic parents in central Illinois.

He and his wife, Dedra, have two grown daughters: Hannah (married) and Jordan (pictured). In his spare time, Jym enjoys outdoor activities and reading, primarily in church history and biographies.

David has been serving as the Pastor of Worship and Music at LifePoint since May of 2002, after spending 13 years as Director of Music at YouthFront, a Para-church youth ministry in the Kansas City area. He grew up mostly in southern New Mexico and then graduated from William Jewell College, a Christian school near Kansas City, Missouri.

After the Lord, the love of his life is Mary, his wife since 1992. They have three wonderful children that help keep life very entertaining! Something David and Mary enjoy doing is taking family vacations and introducing their children to the sights of our great nation.

He is very energetic, loves music, and has a passion for leading others into the presence of the Lord through musical worship. The heart of David’s passion comes from Psalm 92:1 – It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High…

Nate has been a part of our pastoral staff since August of 2010. Previously he was the Assistant Principal at Covenant Christian High School where he spent 11 years teaching subjects ranging from Bible to History to Advanced Fitness and Psychology. He also coached baseball, basketball and tennis along with all of the weightlifting.

Nate attended Taylor University where he met his wife Kiersten. They were married in 1999 and have four daughters: Madeline, Abigail, Emma and Isabelle. Recently, Nate also obtained a Master of Arts in Theological Studies from Liberty University. Nate enjoys playing sports, cycling, backpacking and reading.

Nate’s primary responsibilities at LifePoint include College Ministry and overseeing Adult Discipleship which includes Plan & Promise, Fellows and Hermeneutics. He also shares preaching and other pastoral responsibilities.

Tony Guinn

Tony became a Christian in 1996 at the age of 28. Shortly after his conversion, he began to serve in jail/prison ministry, as well as serving in a local church. Since 2003, Tony has served as a pastor/elder in various locations. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Ball State University in 1990 and a Master of Divinity from LAMP Seminary in 2010. Tony worked for Marsh Supermarkets for over 25 years before joining the staff at LifePoint in 2012. He is the author of the books, Convinced of God’s Love: Growing in Humility and Worship and 5-P Evangelism: Loving God and Our Neighbor.

Tony’s main responsibilities at LifePoint include: evangelism equipping, leading and equipping the Soul Care Ministry (biblical counseling), equipping the seniors of LifePoint, elder equipping, teaching various classes, and occasional preaching.

Tony and his wife, Dorinda, were married in 2001. They have two daughters, Anna and Leah. Tony enjoys exercising, guitar, hiking, reading and sports.

Chris Hanson

Chris grew up attending LifePoint and has served in various roles including leading a Life Group, teaching in our Fellows Program and serving as an elder.  Prior to coming on staff full time in 2015, Chris worked as a Project Manager in the construction industry while also obtaining his master’s degree in Business Administration from Indiana University.  

Chris’s primary responsibilities at LifePoint include managing the building project, working with ministry leaders, and overseeing the office staff.

Chris and his wife, Rachel, were married in 2007 and have three children, Ava, Hallie and Joshua.  Chris enjoys playing and watching sports, cycling and reading.

Dave Kerr

Director for Middle School Ministry

Dave serves as the Director for Middle School Ministry. He completed a Bachelors degree in Biblical Studies from Maranatha Baptist Bible College. Dave and his wife, Heidi, met at Northland International University. Following college, they served together in youth ministry for five years. 

God moved Dave and his family to Indy where he works as a Firefighter/Medic for the city of Indianapolis. He and Heidi have four boys: Stephen, Matthew, Ian and Izaak. They have been attending LifePoint for six years. Dave enjoys spending time with family, working out, sports, almost any outdoor activity, reading, and mentoring youth in their pursuit of God.

Director for High School Ministry

Justin joined the staff at LifePoint as the Director for High School Ministry in August of 2016. He attended the University of Kentucky and the University of Alabama where he earned a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry. After moving to Indianapolis, he met and married his wife, April, in 2008. They have two children: Jason and Elizabeth. After teaching college-level chemistry for several years, he joined the staff of LifePoint. Justin is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity from North American Reformed Seminary. Justin enjoys reading, working out, music, and doing things with his family.

Mary Veal

Director for Children's Ministry

Mary has been our Children’s Director since March 2008. Mary’s goal is to partner with parents to instill Biblical truths. She has a passion to help children connect with their teachers as they learn how to worship the Lord in every aspect of their lives. Mary met her husband Jeff on a blind date, and they were married in 1990. She received her elementary education degree from Anderson University and taught for five years before staying at home to start their family. They have three children, Nicole, Chad, and Christina. Mary enjoys cooking/baking, spending time with family/friends, and traveling.

We will tell the next generation the praiseworthy deeds of the Lord. Psalm 78:4
